Videos about science and technology should always link to the original research, the data, and community. The LIGO-Virgo event is called GW190814 Searching for “GW190814” will lead to articles on Wikipedia and Arxiv. In certain situations, such events can come from inside a black hole region.
If LIGO would stop squandering the world’s money on too few and expensive photon interferometers, and use atom and electron interferometers, and other desktop detectors – more countries and groups could be involved.
A higher number of detectors would make direction and distance easier to determine. Less cost. And some of the detectors could easily be transported to Moon, orbit and Mars. They would also pick up and resolve the much more powerful local signals from earth and solar system. With arrays and shorter distances and time of flight methods, then 3D imaging and scanning of earth and sun and moon are possible and desirable.

As you add more videos, and presumably more information and knowledge, it ought to get more compact, more succinct and understandable – not keep growing and getting more bloated and diffuse. I guess you get paid by the hour and the bushel. It always bothers me when videos about science and technology neglect to provide links to the original research, the data and community of people still working on it. Vaguely mentioning them somewhere in the video doesn’t cut it. The LIGO-Virgo event is called GW190814 Searching for “GW190814” will lead to articles on Wikipedia and Arxiv.
