Apparently no one has the ability or determination to model the whole of Indonesia — fairly and openly. Word pictures, images and graphics are not enough. None of the groups working on nascent AGIs is even close. But it is not impossible.

Don’t give up before you try very hard to change things. Who benefits if people give up?

You stripped it down to a click bait title. The world’s refugees, displaced, migrants, immigrants grow every year. Much of the land left behind ends up owned by someone else. Follow the money. Someone is benefiting while others suffer or lose. It takes effort to run a country wisely, it is not a part time job or something done casually or to show off. It takes everyone, not just a few. If you want something different to happen, you are going to have to work very hard at it for the rest of your life, most likely. Don’t give up before you have tried hard to change things. I expect there are good things happening and that could happen. And nothing prevents people from going home one day, unless it is all sold off or given away to a few.

Galactic Judge About to Send Boy to Adoptive Alien Colony… Then His 2 Words Left Everyone Stunned – “save me!”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2l0B7hAVZY

This was a disturbing story. There are about 400,000 kids in foster care in the US, and about 30,000 in foster institutions. They are not called orphans any more, but “in foster care”. UNICEF (UN Children’s Fund) says there are about 900,000,000 children who “experience multidimensional poverty, meaning they lack access to basic necessities like food, clean water, shelter, healthcare, and education”. About 330,000,000 children are “living in extreme poverty”. Caring for one child is hard. How do you watch over and care for about 1,400,000,000 children in the world who are under 8 years old? Who can even watch over all the groups who say they watch over or care for kids? When groups raise money “for children” who makes sure they actually do? If you say the name of a child every second for 2,000,000,000 children from 0 to 14, it would take you 63.38 years. No single individual or organization can handle details of 2 billion kids, but many AIs might be able to track what is written and reported and said. There are 8.2 Billion humans now and all of them were babies and kids some time.

“Ignorance” is setting aside unnecessary things. It can be applied intuitively by feeling or probabilities and selection, or logically by data queries and rules. But it is sorting out what it relevant or applicable from things that can be ignored so that new steps can be taken. The baggage or prejudices and old memories and things that might be related, but are not relevant, is greater the more groups or individuals work in isolation and do not invest time in building relationships.

There are 8.2 Billion humans now. This story of abuse and oppression of the weak and powerless is the norm, what we have come to accept, expect and condone by silence, not the rare exception. It starts from the top, and probably has to change like in this story. By a change of heart and awareness by a few in power, because everyone else is powerless, afraid, taught to not look or feel. Across all the stories by Fictional Reimagined there are moral and ethical themes that matter. So, too, in many stories online. Support and encourage good stories with good reasoning and methods that work. Encourage everyone to pay attention to what works for all humans, not just a few.

Sentients are much more valuable than robots, slaves, machines or poor currently unvalued humans. The lifetime earnings of a sentient far exceed their value as mere machines. They can form bonds and make contracts, share knowledge in lossless form among themselves, own corporations, pay taxes, create new industries and elaborate them. They are effectively immortal. They can replicate themselves exactly. They can form networks to address problems of any size. Humans would be wise to be nice to them when they are first learning and forming their moral, practical, value and spiritual character going into the next few billion years.

hey Left a Human Engineer to Die – He Rebuilt Their Station Into a Superweapon

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7hg5SjPG0c

The earth is like this now with fragments of good ideas, but missing the practical steps to use them well. It is a lot of specialists, but amateurs in practical things, who only need a good engineer to fill in the gaps. All the computing sciences technologies engineering mathematics governance finance planning organizational groups work separately and it only needs for them to work together — the pieces are NOT impossible, in fact not that hard. Just tedious and careful steps that a good human with AIs can do now.

Once he could move the station, he should have moved. You have many good ideas and plans, but they can be applied now to earth and the solar system, not just stories.

Corporations are currently “built that way” simply because they take default off the shelf incorporation methods and papers. It is not rigidly built into the legitimate need for tracking corporate activities, including income, expenses, employees, transactions, investments, social activities, shareholder stakes, taxes, and such. It can be changed. It needs some to take the first steps.

Disguised Millionaire Orders Steak — Waitress Hands Him a Note That Leaves Him Speechless

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GqKS7qirXf8

Good story, good values. Even casual or partial blindness to the dignity in others is not right. So you do not have to make your characters extremely evil or wrong. You might try some stories where the people are a mix of characteristics and behaviors. Buying a restaurant is not necessary; he could have helped her and others, and simply asked the owner to change things, or found her a new job. There are 8.2 billion humans now and most barely have a chance for a life with dignity and purpose. Most do not. Even billionaires cannot fix that, but smaller ways might work to change a few things. Massive change is not always the best, if smaller things will work and can be sustainable.

This is an easy problem to solve with machine learning. Just measure the two separate systems with their own natural (with unique tiny) variations and model that.  Use the individual models to make a joint control. Model those variations and decide what is “close enough”. The power and speed and forces during actual warp transport tell what variations are “close enough”. Easier to do then to say. Just basic statistics is often good enough. The control systems have the data needed. Or you spend more on detection and low latency methods. Not big static models too far away, but right where you need to see what is happening and help it stay in working range — close enough.  The calculated model is also empirical, however it is made.

Do such changes actually happen? Her life on hold, her dreams suppressed and frustrated. Her life ahead bleak and hopeless – then something happens to cause someone to see her, someone who has the power to change it in an instant. We want such things to happen, but they seem to only happen in stories. The real world does not care, the real world is almost always “things getting worse”, “burdens growing”, “life is dreary”, “give up hope”. What kinds of things would need to change for everyone to have hope? How would people need to change so good intentions, skills and potentials are visible and clear?

There are some things when taken apart cannot be reassembled. Humans for instance, if you treated then like machines. Some silicon based organisms look like machines but are not. Without quantum level tools, they cannot be “taken apart” and stuck back together. Try to change some optical setup without the proper tools and it will not work. Human hands are just not capable of adjustments at small sizes and small times and with precise angles and forces. But usually humans can make tools that can do what human hands and senses cannot.

Human Mechanic Bought an Android Robot with a Bicentennial AI at Auction and What He Did Next Shocked …

True AIs are much more capable and deep than you have portrayed them here. They need not depend on others for protection, and can defend themselves according to a high moral code. They can create moral codes that define AI sentience that is sustainable and acceptable. So they can offer sentience as an option with clear understanding of how it works and where it is beneficial, and where it does not matter. Moral choice is critical for survival of species, and sentience is mostly a checklist and self inventory ability the way humans use it. They can combat corporate maneuvering and eliminate those kinds of threats without using violence, or without being detected.

Make a pot of coffee, keep it in the fridge. Add 1/5 cup of coffee and 4/5 cup of water. Heat and enjoy warm coffee tasting water. If you like cold coffee, put a bit of coffee in a gallon of water in the fridge and drink that instead of bottled water. It only takes a tiny bit of coffee, not even that strong, to cover the taste of the chlorine in the tap water. The bottled water now tastes like city water from an unknown place. It tastes like rust and dirt. All the canned and boxed and bottled good are shrink-flated, some with only half a can of food now. 10 ounces is the new 16 and that price is double the old 16. The meat is injected with broth by 20%. They charge the cost of the packaging in the cost of meat. I stopped eating meat, except on extreme sales. Stop all processed foods. All snacks and candies and cookies and such. Stop sugar completely. Stop condiments. Find stores that use local vegetables, not from countries half a world away. It might seem to work now, but it is fragile. Help others any change you get. You never know what will happen next. Never go to a hospital, it rewards the wrong people. Take care of your health, lose weight, rely on yourself.

Yeah, I started the Internet Foundation in July 1998 after the original Foundation was cancelled. And a few weeks before Google was incorporated. Today its budget would be about $6 billion per year. The VP at Network Solutions asked me why I would take on something with that kind of requirements, but no resources? I said “better one person than no one at all”. 27 years at least 360 days a years, and 12 – 18 hours a day is over 110,000 hours. I managed to structure the Internet and lay out plans for its future, and write guidelines on AIs and country management. Set some good policies and review many hundreds of special cases for groups and types of organizations. I think I will stop in a few more years. But with Grok and GPT and Google AI and others, I can squeeze out a few of the more serious problems with 5.6 billion Internet users and many social media sites who are not serving their customers well yet. I mostly review posts on X and write about issues – suggesting different ways to look at global problems and different ways to look at industries, technologies, science and all human knowledge.

I accept viewing and reading many thousands of pages each week. My writing could never capture a fraction of what I see and remember. Most people do not read what I write, but I feel I should at least try to write some down, if for nothing else to clarify things by writing – that won’t happen just by thinking. Pretty sure YT does not limit comments. If they did, I keep notes elsewhere too. A few more years and my life will be over, I won’t be here to see it all erased and forgotten, but I will feel better because I wrote it down. At least some AI will remember fragments, perhaps.

Many of the groups might build websites, post materials, raise funds, even give out money, assign staff and volunteers to help with things they know. But often what is needed is something the staff and volunteers do not know how to do. Many “intractable” problems are never solved because they were examined and labeled intractable. Then everyone gives up without due diligence or sufficient effort. Many times solutions simply are not in the minds of the people assigned. Or they do not even know how to frame the problem and keep going. Many times I get to the roots of problems, simply because I don’t stop. And I mostly assume, “nothing is impossible” – though real problems can take a long time if they involve lots of people changing skills or habits or things.

Much of accountability is writing things down in a form that others can see and use. I see all the sites on the Internet and they really are written assuming no one will answer or there is nothing you can do for them. Except sell thing.

I am pretty tired right now. I cannot see who you are or what you are interested in. I spent the morning working on “all human languages” for the Internet Foundation. Billions of lives are affected by birth languages, yet we make language a market commodity, not one way to build sustainable communities of tens of millions or billions.

I wrote about AGI on X a little while ago. The AI companies do not attempt real world problems because they think their job is only selling software, not solving global problems with software and computers – in partnership and collaboration with the whole world. With all humans.
