Comment: The Day the Earth Stood Still

They did not need to take animals like an ark. They could take DNA and project it to all possible earth DNA life. For that matter, they could have simply reprogrammed humans to not have qualities they felt were counter-survival. And made whatever improvements necessary to integrate into galactic or universal society. Or recorded all living things in memory, wiped the planet and kept the archive in case any being was interested. Of simply made a new planet if they needed one. Galactic civilizations the entities are all immortal and interconnected. That is how they have the patience, ability and time to colonize galaxies over billions of years. The speed of light is ok for galaxies but not for between galaxies.
