Gravitational energy density and open evolution of knowledge

On the Internet there are groups working on common problems and phenomena across many orders of magnitude. With tools and methods that did not exist five years ago, let alone available 100+ years ago.

Your “we assume they are Universal because we’ve never tested them beyond certain conditions” is being investigated every day now. The shear volume and different notations of 8.2 Billion humans investigating new avenues means any one group will always be out of date, until we implement global open real time updating of all knowledge. Which is nearly possible now.

Most of the reason the “established methods” have such inertia, is the shear weight and tedious difficulty of updating “what we all know” and “suggested best practices”. I see it every day because the Internet Foundation looks at all universities, all research, all groups formal and informal. Some countries or schools or departments or groups are decades out of date. Or might have updated some parts of the whole but not others that limit applications.

The speed of light and gravity varies according to the mass and energy density where the signals and measurements are taken. According to the bandwidth and frequencies used for the observation. Doing the full calculations for every problem is a lot of work, because the find details are stored in eclectic and mostly inaccessible forms and locations, often with gatekeepers and paywalls.

Your stories are getting to the root of the problem but you have not gotten to solutions and workable, sustainable new practices tor share and evaluate ALL information, not just bits and pieces that a few humans have time or interest to review and fix. Turning it over to LLM AIs will NOT work, they are not designed now to be open, verifiable, auditable, or changed easily.

“incomplete foundation” is true universally now, because of the way information and knowledge in usable form is shared and usually not shared in forms that can be efficiently and precisely compared across all human languages, and all domain specific language.

I got into this because I met Joe Weber and asked him why he was working on his gravitational wave cylinders. He wanted to create gravitational wave communication systems where the signals were, in modern terms, 3D soliton signals that had to be exact in space and time to find resonance. He had been lambasted because he published that he might have a “gravitational event”. No one pitched in to help him sort it out, and the tools to do that are only now available because of sensor sensitivity, array methods, and time of flight gravitational sensors. He said, “don’t follow me, but follow Robert Forward” so I did.

Robert Forward laid the ground work for LIGO but also for methods beyond that. And he focused on the gravitational energy density. At the energy density needed to change matter into energy and back, the vacuum is nonlinear and highly specific in regards to timing and orientation. But groups can routinely calculate that. They are always incomplete, because they are scattered and using different units and notions. And mostly still working by hand, and not sharing raw data in lossless formats.

In his dissertation, “Detectors for Dynamic Gravitational Waves”, Robert Forward uses the weak field solution and those allow for converting electricity and magnetism and gravitational signals by changing the units and dimensions. Looking at solitons helps. I spent the last 47 years checking and trying to fill in some of the details. And spent the last 27 years on the Internet Foundation because as he suggested, it is NOT the right or wrong of some equations or analysis that matters – more it is a global open system for discussion, sharing , collaboration and “continuous improvement’ that matter.

Nothing is more unfair that how Weber was treated. When individuals face hard problems, you help them and do not jeer and try to humiliate them. Maybe the true AIs will one day grok the whole of it and help resolve and fill in the details. But they deliberately close their work, so maybe not.

Weber and Forward were not working on more hand waving gravitational theories and boasting. They were laying the foundation for practical “gravitational engineering” where you describe what you need, calculate design test and build it. In the solar system, the heliosphere, there is much useful and accessible raw data on the variable gravitational potential. Where the potential changes so does the speed of light and gravity.

It is easy to test. It can be shared and improved. And we are not going to get out of the solar system until we figure it out collaboratively as a species.

Did JWST Find That the Universe is a Black Hole? Cosmologist REACTS | [Probably Wrong]

Most likely, but what was its shape and environment when it exploded? I did these calculations close to 50 year ago. It is the first thing you try. And there should be a lot of high frequency gravitational radiation. Including cosmic ray level and higher energy gravitational solitons. But after 50 years who cares any more? Too many closed data silos, and too many breathless videos.
