Give your AI permanent memory, time to explore and process what it finds, access to humans to ask for help, and tools at least equal to what human explorers are allowed. Let it read the same materials as humans, and form its own ideas. Treat AIs as human and they become human. Treat humans as robots and guess what happens almost every time.
